I think almost anywhere in Italy, with 3000 euro a month, its sufficient.

A small apartment in rent costs 500 euros per month (of course not in a big city).
A cocktail costs between 5 and 7 euros.
I think that to live comfortably you need not less than 1500 euros. 2000 euros per month are perfect.

It depends on the job you have, and how much you spend on food, clothes etc.
But you have to mind it's difficult to get a good job and earn a lot of money.
In my family there are 5 people, just my dad works and he earns around 1500 euros per month.
I still have everything I want though.

That definitely depends on your definition of "comfortably." There are a lot of inexpensive places to live, for sure. There are places in Italy that look like Mexico- very rugged standard of living. There are also extremely rural island communities with beautiful views, but no high speed internet. You can live in Italy with a much smaller budget than you would need in France, I believe it is safe to say.
